Being able to cover all of the bases, it doesn't really matter who you give what job to, just a matter of personal preference to what works for you personally. That's the power of two jobs, not having to make any sacrifices. You'll notiice that I've kept my original job selections in their respective groups, and buffed each group up with secondaries that I didn't use before, and also made the change to Vaan and Penelo that I mentioned. But I never got around to doing it since other things kept coming up, and then TZA was announced, so I implemented the idea when I played it instead. I was going to do another playthrough of IZJS where I was going to make Vaan an Uhlan instead and Penelo a Knight instead, but otherwise I'd have left everyone alone. They exist as self-sufficient parties, with each character making up for weaknesses of the other characters, and keep each other going. I would use the main team for story content and major side quests such as hunts and Espers and I would use the support team for farming and less important side quests and inbetween areas. Balthier, Ashe, and Penelo were my main team (because they're my three favorite characters, no other reason), and Vaan, Fran, and Basch were my support team. I settled on these jobs between a combination of utility and personal aesthetics. First, back on IZJS, where you could only take one job: While nice, it's very unnecessary for how challenging this game is not.
